Founded by three partners and natives of the area, in 2022, Southern Kentucky Distillery produced the first “legal” bourbon in Cumberland County since prohibition. Cumberland County was “dry” between prohibition until its residents voted it wet in 2016. We are located in the Foothill Mountains of Appalachia between Lake Cumberland, Dale Hollow Lake and the Cumberland River. This area is visited each year by thousands of water enthusiasts and fishermen. We feel that our location is ideal to offer tours and connect with many potential customers in the South and Midwest.
